Oxford Space Systems is an award-wining space technology business that is pioneering the development of a new generation of deployable antennas and structures that are lighter, less complex and lower cost than those in current commercial demand. OSS is becoming the leading global supplier of innovative deployable space antennas and structures in the new space age, with contracts and collaborations with leading satellite builders in Europe, emerging players in the microsat and nanosat markets in the US, Europe and Asia.
OSS works in three principle areas of product development: deployable antennas, Astrotube, composite boom systems and deployable panel systems. Combining proprietary with traditional materials, OSS is able to deliver innovative, scalable structures that significantly save in terms of both build and launch costs.
Based at the UK’s Harwell Space Cluster, OSS has excellent access to the expertise and facilities of RAL Space, the European Space Agency, the Science and Technology Facilities Council and the Satellite Applications Catapult.
IQ Capital has invested in Oxford Space Systems at Seed stage in 2015 and followed through to Series A in 2018.
