Fluidity One named as one of the Top 10 Innovations of 2018 by The Scientist

Since 2008 the contest has identified newly released products which are having the biggest impact on life science research. The winners are selected by a panel of expert, independent judges who look for products, techniques and methodologies with the potential for rapid advances or to address specific problems in their fields.
“Each year The Scientist highlights both incremental steps and giant leaps in life-science technology through our Top 10 Innovations competition,” says The Scientist’s Editor-in-Chief Bob Grant.
The award comes at the end of a busy year for Fluidic Analytics, with another successful funding round just announced as well as a move into new premises to accommodate the growing development team.
“Being named as one of the Top 10 Innovations of 2018 is a crowning achievement for us at the end of this excellent year of growth.” says Andrew Lynn, CEO at Fluidic Analytics. “It’s an honour to have our technology recognized in such a prestigious competition.”
The Fluidity One was launched in September of this year, and allows the size and concentration of purified protein samples to be determined from just 50 ng in eight minutes.
It is the first instrument to utilize microfluidic diffusional sizing (MDS), which allows testing to take place in solution, in native state. The Fluidic Analytics team will continue to develop this fundamental method further into other research tools, and later into clinical diagnostic instruments.
