January 29, 2019

Senseye, the predictive maintenance analytics provider, today announced that it has appointed Peter Portner to lead its operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He joins Senseye from Ubisense, a software company, where he was European Vice President of Sales.
Peter, who has over 20 years of sales experience working for technology businesses in Europe, is responsible for expanding Senseye’s presence in the region, building upon contracts with existing and new clients throughout 2019.
Senseye was founded in 2014 and is experiencing a period of rapid expansion thanks to growing demand for its automated predictive maintenance product. Customers include major industrial and manufacturing companies such as Nissan, which uses Senseye’s software to monitor more than 7,000 assets at multiple production sites and prioritize repairs months before predicted machine failures.
Simon Kampa, CEO of Senseye, comments: “Thanks to advances in machine learning, automation and analytics it is now possible to deploy automated predictive maintenance at scale and use smart algorithms to identify precisely when a machine or component is likely to fail. Senseye is delivering substantial ROI for large manufacturers and industrial organizations around the world and we are delighted that Peter has joined us to further our work in some key growth markets.”
Peter Portner, Managing Director DACH at Senseye, comments:“Germany, Austria and Switzerland are exciting growth markets for Senseye. We are already helping major industrial organizations in the region improve productivity and profitability by optimizing maintenance processes, and with the growing adoption of Industry 4.0 practices there is a huge amount of potential to expand Senseye’s presence exponentially.
