AiM Medical Robotics (AiM) MRI-guided robotic systems improve patients' experience in complex surgical procedures by increasing accuracy and reducing procedure time.
AiM has developed a fully MRI-compatible, low-cost, and portable robotic system that brings real-time MRI guidance to high-precision surgical procedures. While MRI is the gold standard in medical imaging, its strong magnetic field typically prevents its use during operations, forcing reliance on less-accurate imaging methods. AiM’s breakthrough solution overcomes this barrier, unlocking new possibilities in surgical precision, automation, and efficiency.
AiM was founded by Prof. Greg Fischer (CEO), a leading researcher in medical robotics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Julie Pilitsis, Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at University of Arizona.
