Nu Quantum’s mission is to enable scalable quantum computing systems - significantly shortening the timeline to commercially relevant quantum computing and unlocking of billions in potential value.
Nu Quantum is developing a photonic quantum networking platform that will allow near-term quantum processing units to be networked together in order to create larger, more powerful, systems. This presents an alternative route to efficiently scaling up quantum computers to commercially relevant sizes.
Initially targeting trapped ion and neutral atom qubits, Nu Quantum have developed one of the highest fidelity qubit-photon interfaces in the world, a photonic quantum networking switch, and an architecture which enables novel quantum error correction algorithms.
Founded by Dr Carmen Palacios-Berraquero (CEO), Nu Quantum spun out of the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge in 2018.
