Virti develops immersive training tools to improve human performance in organisations around the globe. In-person training is expensive and time-consuming, and research shows traditional teaching methods (such as lectures) are less effective than ‘active’ learning when it comes to knowledge retention. Virti’s deep learning technology uses ‘XR’ and AI to improve training outcomes by helping people acquire knowledge faster and retain new skills for longer.
The firm was founded in 2018 by Dr Alex Young, an NHS trauma and orthopaedic surgeon by training. Virti helped train NHS staff at the peak of the pandemic, and has worked with hospitals, universities, corporates and public sector organisations across EMEA and the US. The Virti platform is also being utilised to facilitate the mass training of medics in developing countries.
Virti has won a wealth of awards and grants, including being voted one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2020 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2021.
IQ Capital led Virti’s Series A in 2021.
