Privitar welcomes Chris Smith

We are excited to announce Chris Smith has joined the Privitar senior team as VP of Commercial.
Chris brings a wealth of experience to the role having held positions at tech-giant Oracle’s US headquarters as Development Director, and more recently, as General Manager of Europe at RootMetrics. Growing early stage start-ups and successfully bringing new products to market is a signature of Chris’ 28-year career. He was an integral component of Acunu, the big data analytics company that was successfully acquired by a large US tech firm in 2013. Chris also ran the Telco, Media and Utilities vertical at Netezza, the high-performance data warehouse specialist which was acquired by IBM for $1.7B.
In his new role as VP, Chris will drive Privitar’s growth to the next level by satisfying the industry’s avid demand for big data security and privacy technology. Chris will work with Privitar’s partners, including leading institutions in financial services, telco, genomics and the ‘Internet of Things’, to introduce Privitar’s technology in each context and deliver projects which offer expanded analytical insight while respecting the individual’s need for privacy and security.
