Spectral Edge launches Ultra HD solution for color-blind viewers at M-Enabling Summit

June 08, 2017

Spectral Edge today announced that it will unveil and demonstrate the new 4k Ultra HD version of its Eyeteq content accessibility technology at next week’s M-Enabling Summit in Washington DC (June 12-14th 2017). This enables Pay TV operators to better meet the needs of those that suffer with color-blindness, and consequently differentiate themselves from rivals.
As part of the event, which is dedicated to promoting accessible and assistive technology, Spectral Edge’s Matthew Terrell will speak alongside representatives from Comcast, Amazon Lab 126 and Yahoo. The session, “Accessible Media on the Internet: A New Paradigm”, will take place at 1.30pm on Wednesday June 14th 2017.
Based on the company’s patented Phusion technology, Spectral Edge’s Eyeteq is an assistive technology for color-blind viewers. It transforms colors on TV screens, tablets or smartphones to enable those with color vision deficiency (CVD) to see what they otherwise cannot, while viewers without CVD are not impacted. Pay TV service providers can now deliver a dramatically improved experience to color-blind subscribers in order to differentiate themselves, reduce churn and win new customers.
