Mason is a Principal at IQ Capital, where he focuses on the commercialisation of breakthrough technologies. He works closely with teams on commercial strategy, operations, and growth to help founders build robust and scalable businesses

Mason invests across a broad range of sectors, with a particular interest in advanced engineering, automation, computing and semiconductors.

Mason serves on the board of several portfolio companies, including Baseimmune, AI Build, Quantum Diamonds, Accelercomm and FNA.

Prior to IQ Capital, Mason worked as an investor at Newable and Octopus Ventures. Before his career in Venture Capital, Mason was as an engineer, a startup founder, and an advisor to scale-up technology businesses through Innovate UK and the European Commission.  

He holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.  

Mason is a guest lecturer at the Cambridge Judge Business School.
