OnRelay Launches on iTunes Connect

November 07, 2013

OnRelay launched its Mobile Office Phone for Android on Google Play earlier in 2013, and is aggressively growing the service across the US via a rapidly expanding agent network.
“We put mobile first when building a modern and world leading business communications system,” says Ivar Plahte, OnRelay’s CEO. “Users self-register via their Office Phone app to seamlessly manage their business calls, availability, call group participation and business voice mails from their smartphones.”
With this release OnRelay continues on its path to eliminate unnecessary hardware and desk-phone implementations, while still allowing desk-phone and PC softphone users the leading fixed mobile convergence experience in the market. Aleksandra Pupkina of Palm Beach Casino Tours, Florida, says: “We have used the OnRelay Office Phone service for several months and are impressed by how well it ties together our smartphones with our deskphones and PC softphones. We can still keep our cell numbers private, and the service gives us a lot more flexibility with how and from where we manage our business calls and voice mails.”
OnRelay has set the standard for cellular PBX implementations. Its US patent no 6,993,360 for a Mobile Branch Exchange is now referenced from 51 subsequent patents from the likes of Cisco, Avaya, NEC, AT&T, Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, Samsung and Sprint. With OnRelay, the Mobile Office Phone app has the same cellular voice quality and coverage that users are accustomed to.
“We predicted early on that carriers would transition towards fixed rate packages for cellular voice. So our unique Mobile PBX technology was designed from the outset to use the standard cellular voice bearer rather than less reliable VoIP over mobile data or WiFi connections,” says Plahte. “And for users that still prefer to pair their smartphone with a desk-phone or PC softphone, OnRelay’s support for landline VoIP extensions is second to none.”
